Free cancellation, 24h

An hour from the city and the country changes completely: a monastic valley, a waterfall, and a mountain road that film crews keep coming back to.

The day

The shortest of our Irish days, and the one with the least driving between stops.

07:00

Dublin, your hotel door

None of this is far, so the day has room for an extra stop if you want one.

08:00

The Sally Gap

A mountain pass across open bog, with nothing built on it. The road people picture when they picture Wicklow.

08:30

Lough Tay

The dark lake with the white sand beach at one end, which is why it's called the Guinness Lake. The Vikings in the television series were filmed here.

09:15

Glendalough

A sixth-century monastic city in a glacial valley, with its round tower still standing. Time to walk to the upper lake and back.
Free to enter

12:00

Powerscourt Estate and Waterfall

Formal gardens laid out in the eighteenth century, and the highest waterfall in Ireland at the other end of the estate.
Estate entry is not included

14:00

Back at your hotel

Or dropped anywhere in Dublin you'd rather be.

Questions

Yes. The tour is private, and the price depends on how many of you travel, starting from €630. Choose the number of people when you book.

Seven hours leaves room. Avoca, Kilruddery or the coast road through Greystones all fit. Ask your guide.

The Sally Gap can close in snow, and it's dark by four. We'd steer you to a different route on the day rather than cancel.

Two vehicles travelling together, on one booking. Message us and we'll price it.

Yes. Every tour is customisable: a different start time, extra stops, more time where you like it, or a longer day. Tell us when you book.

Message us and we'll move it if we can — we work with several drivers, so there is usually room. More than 24 hours ahead costs nothing.
