We park beside the visitor centre, you buy your ticket, and the park bus takes you along the road through the forest to the falls.

The Falls Trail
About a kilometre and a half of path along the canyon, with viewpoints across to the falls on the far bank.

The walkway
The trail ends on a walkway over the river, facing the Devil's Throat. On a windy day the spray reaches you.

The next stop of the park bus, above the falls, with a restaurant by the river. Then the bus back to the visitor centre.

Before you book
- Opening hours
- The park opens every day, from 09:00 on weekdays and 08:30 at weekends, and entry closes at 16:00. On the 07:00 start you reach the gate before it opens, at the front of the queue.
- High water
- When the river is very high the park can close the walkway to the Devil's Throat, as it did in September 2026. We tell you before the day if it is shut.
- What to bring
- A light raincoat or a change of top. The spray near the walkway soaks people.
- Start time
- Starts at 07:00 or 13:00, every day. Every tour is customisable: a different start time, extra stops, more time where you like it, or a longer day. Tell us when you book.
- Language
- Guided in English. Other languages on request, if we have notice.
- Cancellation
- Free up to 24 hours before, refunded in full.

Yes. The tour is private, and the price depends on how many of you travel. Send us your date and group size and we reply with the price.
Yes. It leaves from inside the park, and with the queues it needs about three more hours. Our day with Parque das Aves has room for it, or message us.
