A guide to private tours in SpainThree cities, three days.

What each city day covers, what to book in advance, and which to pick for where you are staying.

Our three Spanish days are each built around one city, and each city rewards a car for a different reason: in Madrid the sights are further apart than they look, in Barcelona Gaudí is spread across the city, and in Seville the heat decides the day.

Staying in Madrid: the Madrid highlights. In Barcelona: Gaudí and the Gothic Quarter. In Seville: the Seville day. For Barcelona and Seville, book the monument tickets online before you arrive.

How to choose

You are in Madrid

Six hours: the Royal Palace and the Almudena, Plaza Mayor and Habsburg Madrid, the Paseo del Prado and the Retiro with the Crystal Palace. Morning or afternoon; in July and August the morning is the better one. There is a full-day version that adds Toledo or Segovia.

You are in Barcelona

Seven hours: the Sagrada Familia, Park Güell, Casa Batlló and La Pedrera on the Passeig de Gràcia, then the Gothic Quarter on foot with your guide. Montserrat needs most of a day and can be priced as a longer version.

You are in Seville

Eight hours: the cathedral and the Giralda, the Real Alcázar and its gardens, a walk and lunch in Santa Cruz, and the Plaza de España. The day can end at a flamenco show in Triana.

Four things worth knowing before you book

Book the big monuments yourself, early

The Sagrada Familia, Park Güell, Seville cathedral and the Real Alcázar all use timed entry and sell out in season. Tickets are not included in our prices, and we cannot get you in without one, so book them online before you travel.

Summer heat is real

Seville regularly passes forty degrees in July and August, and Madrid is very hot by two in the afternoon. The days are built around shade and an early start.

Private costs less than you think for a group

A coach seat is cheap for one person and stops being cheap at four. Our prices are by group size, not per seat: up to four of you share one car at one price, and the price only steps up when you need a van. And you are not waiting for forty strangers at every stop.

You can change your mind

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pick-up, refunded in full. If the date stops working, message us and we will do our best to move you to another day.
