Sicily is bigger than people expect, and our two days start at opposite ends of it: Mount Etna and Taormina from the east coast, and Palermo, Monreale and Cefalù from the north. Which one fits depends mostly on where you are staying.

How to choose

You want the volcano

Mount Etna and Taormina. Eight hours: the Silvestri craters at about 1,900 metres, higher by cable car and 4x4 if conditions allow, lunch at a winery on the slopes, and the Greek theatre in Taormina, with Etna and the sea behind the stage. The summit craters are reached only with the authorised mountain guides, which we can book.

You want Arab, Norman and Baroque Sicily

Palermo, Monreale and Cefalù. Eight hours: the gold mosaics of Monreale cathedral, Palermo's old town, with the Quattro Canti, Piazza Pretoria and the street food of the Ballarò market, and the fishing town of Cefalù under its rock.

Four things worth knowing before you book

Guiding inside the sites is for licensed guides

In Italy, guiding inside the monuments is reserved for licensed guides. Your driver takes you to the door, and we can book a guide to meet you there. Entrances, the Etna cable car, lunch and tastings are not included.

Arriving by sea

We collect from the cruise ships in Catania and Messina for the Etna day, and from the cruise terminal in Palermo. Tell us the ship and the date.

Private costs less than you think for a group

A coach seat is cheap for one person and stops being cheap at four. Our prices are by group size, not per seat: up to four of you share one car at one price, and the price only steps up when you need a van. And you are not waiting for forty strangers at every stop.

You can change your mind

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pick-up, refunded in full. If the date stops working, message us and we will do our best to move you to another day.
